Horse is named the world’s most beautiful, then experts take closer look at its coat and realize the unimaginable

In the realm of equine beauty, a Turkish horse has captured hearts worldwide, hailed as the most stunning by experts. Meet the Akhal-Teke, a breed tracing back to the extinct Turkoman horse, with only 3,500 remaining.

Standing 58 to 64 inches tall, the Akhal-Teke is celebrated for its dazzling, gold-like coat that earned it the nickname “the horse from heaven” in China. Specialists attribute this divine appearance to the fur’s unique structure, acting as a light intensifier and reflector, creating an otherworldly sheen.

This breed, considered the world’s oldest and first domesticated, emerged in Turkmenistan 3,000 years ago. The golden fur, believed to be a camouflage adaptation in the desert, adds to the mystique of this extraordinary horse.

The breed is the oldest in the world and the first to be domesticated; it is thought to have originated in Achal, Turkmenistan, around 3,000 years ago.
